(Avon Park, FL) Hi 53 Lo 41 -- Another cold night, but when the furnace kicked on it warmed up nicely through the early morning hours. We were up just after daylight to go to church. We're both really enjoying the church services.
The wind was really cold so I decided not to walk. The closets and the pantry needed some overhauling. I wanted to take out all the extra stuff we haven't touched in three years. Clothes weigh a lot and so does food, especially canned food. I wanted to get our inventory completed for the new year so I stayed very busy. I also shredded a lot of documents that we had to keep for a couple years. Jim took over the shredding while I cooked dinner and wouldn't you know it, the shredder died. He did it... it was his fault! Oh well, we've had that shredder for over five years, and it was a pretty cheap one to begin with. We'll get another one next time we're out.
After dinner I decided to do nothing else. It takes a lot to go through everything and six hours is enough. Tomorrow is New Years Eve. Everyone stay safe and please have a designated driver if you're planning to drink.

Sherri Kris and I want to be the first to wish you and Jim a Happy New Year. Sherri is going to the doctor today to get some meds for this cold she has. We are stopping on the way back to get Kris some fireworks for tonight. Stay safe...
Before you buy a new shredder, try yours one more time. Sometimes, they have an automatic shut off switch if they get overheated. Yours just may have needed a break.
