Christmas, Done - Appointments, Done

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 79 Lo 67 -- We had a brutal thunderstorm last night. One park resident lost a lot of electronic equipment from a lightning strike. We had one of our circuit breakers go off twice. It was one of the small breakers that affected three ac outlets. The  lightning was so close I could feel the heat, and the thunder was so loud the ground shook. Fortunately there wasn't much wind. Good thing, as our awning was out, and we have so many Christmas lights strung up on it that it would take forever to bring it in. We haven't been in a storm like that in a long time. An hour later it was all over. We got to bed late.

We got all our Christmas gifts that we bought locally shipped out today. We bought some gifts from Amazon that were shipped directly to our kids' homes. One click shopping is great this time of year. Now we can relax knowing it's all done.

I did my one mile walk at 10:00, and it was very humid. I came back soaked with sweat. It felt great to cool down in the air conditioning. At noon we headed out to Arcadia, about 45 minutes south of us, for our annual dermatology appointments.  No issues for us skin-wise, so we're set for another year.

We got home with more storms lurking around. We're not sure just what we'll get tonight. We'll hold tight if something comes up.

This evening we're looking forward to watching the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy on TV. It'll be nice to see OUR kind of music on TV for a change... Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Billy Joel, and more. Should be a blast!

I get a little nervous in T-storms too! Glad we haven't been in too many on the road.
