(Willis, TX) Hi 87 Lo 71 -- I had a wonderful day today. I spent the day with Arlene and Penny, and Jim hung around the rig all day then went to see the Astros vs Phillies baseball game in Houston. Arlene picked me up about 10 and we went over to Penny's for a visit. Penny drove us around Lake Conroe and showed us some very nice RV parks. While we were out it started raining, quite hard for awhile. We got back to Penny's, said our goodbye and headed to Arlene's house.
While it rained off and on all afternoon I helped Arlene do some computer work and just visited. Then we noticed it was getting late and we hadn't eaten yet. We took off for dinner at 7:00, and it was already getting dark. We went to Goodson's for chicken fried steak. It was a great meal!
Arlene brought me home just before 9:30 and Jim got back from the ballgame around 11. Here's a couple of pictures he took at the game.
The Astros' stadium is named Minute Maid Park. The locals call it the "Juice Box." It has a retractable roof, and tonight is was closed due to the storms in the area.
Jim said it was weird watching baseball played indoors. He had fun though. Another major league ballpark checked off his list. That's five he's been to this summer.

Another great day with you and Arlene. Thank you.
Jim would have been amazed at the Astrodome, it had a roof, too. They had tractor pulls, demolition derbys, football, baseball and all kinds of events there. We went there often when I lived in Houston.
Happy Trails, Penny
Nice! George's brother lives in north Houston, Cypress. When we were there in April visiting, we looked for RV parks near Lake Conroe to stay when we visit them. Looks like a nice area.
