There were several people that brought their dogs up on the mountain. This is a great Dane.
When we got back down from the top to the parking lot we were just in time to sit in on a ranger talk about big horn sheep. But we both were feeling so bad and needed water, so we left early and went back to the car. I would have liked to hear more.
We did see some wildlife, first time we've seen a Mermot. Three were playing in the middle of the road going up.
This one was squealing or a loud yell. We weren't sure what it was till we saw him on the rock. He just wanted attention.
This lady was hiking down from the mountain top with her dog. (The dog disappeared from view before I took this picture.) On our drive back down the mountain road we saw her a couple of miles down. She was obviously hiked the mountain to the road, not sure where she was parked. And she had gray hair, so she wasn't a young lady. Just amazing!
Jim found this on Youtube. It's an 8-minute time lapse video of the whole 27-mile drive up the mountain. The only difference from our drive is we didn't have any snow. Watch for the change in the terrain as it goes along.
Today we finally picked my car at the Toyota dealer. We're happy with the service we got from Stevinson Toyota in Aurora, CO. If you own a Toyota and find yourself needing service in the Denver area, we highly recommend them.
After picking up my car, we drove a few miles north to a movie theater in the Northfield shopping center to see The Dark Knight Rises. We both enjoyed it, but thought it was too long at over 2 1/2 hours.
It was starting rush hour by the time we left the theater, so we had a later dinner. We watched some TV shows and called it a night. We're not sure what we'll get into tomorrow.

Isn't it just fun when you have one of those experiences that you want to relive over and over again. I love the cowboy hat on the Ranger!
It rained yesterday, so instead of stock car races we too went to see The Dark Knight Rises. Enjoyed it.
