(Buckley AFB, Aurora, CO) Hi 88 Lo 67 -- We're noticing the Midwest is still having really high temperatures. Our oldest son lives near St. Louis and he says the heat index is really high, sometimes as high as 117 degrees.
We chilled out today. After our exciting time on Mount Evans we're still recovering. It's nice to have a full day to rest up. We're working on what to see here and in Colorado Springs. We have brochures laid out everywhere. It's so interesting in this area. We're thinking of visiting Estes Park tomorrow.
We both did a back-up on our laptops today and got caught up on some blog reading. I downloaded a book to the Kindle app on my android phone. It's called "To Heaven and Back." I'll give a report on it once I read it.
It's nice to just chill. We'll be on the move somewhere tomorrow.

Hope you have time to check out Cripple Creek, CO. Beverly and I loved it there.
My niece just gave me that book but I haven't started it yet. Looks like a great read.
if you do Gold camp road take your car not the Tumbleweed. i dont think it will fit in the tunnels. There are also caves you can visit. they have a day excusion & a night one that you carry your own lamp that they give you to use.
