Sunset King Lake Resort

(DeFuniak Springs, FL) Hi 88 Lo 63 -- It’s April Fools day and every year I think of the joke our two boys pulled on me. I still don’t know which one did it, but they put a rubber band on the handle of the sprayer on the kitchen sink, and when I turned on the spigot I got soaked. I didn’t do it just once, I did it twice, then I heard them laughing. We didn’t have anything or anyone fool us today. But Jim did find something on the internet that he's not sure if it’s true or not. He's a big James Bond fan and he read a story from the Sun newspaper in London had a big article saying the Queen asked Daniel Craig (who plays James Bond) to be part of the opening of the 2012 Olympics. And she wants him to do it in character as James Bond. According to this article they're filming a short action film at Buckingham Palace. They're saying the Queen might even have a part in the film. Seems unlikely, huh? But he googled the story this evening and it's being reported by newspapers and organizations all over the world. So he thinks it MAY be true... but still...

I worked on the March budget for much of the morning, then called my sister for this weeks update. Yesterday our son and his wife took our two grandsons to my sister’s to see mom (their Great Grandmom). They had a wonderful time.

Kyle, Son Frank, Mom, and Kendall. Angie is taking the picture.

Can't wait to see them in a couple of weeks!

After watching the NASCAR race we went for a walk around the park.

We talked to a couple of folks on our walk. One guy pays for his site year round but travels in the summer months. He’s not sure if he'll be going anywhere this year because of the high fuel prices.

It was a very relaxing day after our long trip yesterday. We’re hoping for a fun day tomorrow, so stayed tuned.

I liked the picture of Frank and the boys and Vena. I wish I could see them more often. I'll be in a position to visit them and Rick someday in the near future ( I hope) I'm planning on it. Love you MOM

Looks like a nice park. Sure wish their regular rates were half price. I might could afford to spend a week there. Travel safe.

Very nice way to start the month of April. We finally had some sunshine here in Eugene, Oregon today, but yesterday (the 1st) it was just wet and grey, much like the entire month of March was. I think we set a record for rainfall. How fun!!

Sure glad you are enjoying SSK, we have been coming here since 2006. We liked it so much that we bought a membership. We have been using the MyRVMail ever since and just love their service. Once a week we go over and get the mail, Kevin knows us so well I don't even have to tell him our box number. Most of the full timers here at SSK have gone or will be leaving in a few weeks as every year we will miss each other great other family. The Hood's
