Schedules are Wild

(Scott AFB, IL) Hi 79 Lo 63 -- There were storms east and south of us but we didn't get any of them. The temperatures are warming up and I'm loving it.

I wanted to get my hair cut today at the salon here on base. I forgot that they don't take walk-ins, so I made an appointment for tomorrow morning. So I did some browsing at the BX (base exchange). I need some "nice" slacks. I didn't find any that fit me length-wise. It's hard to find slacks that are long enough for me. I went next door to the commissary and picked up a couple of grocery items and came back home.

We're here to see the grandkids, but with sports practices, games, and other school functions it's hard to get to get quality time with them. That's what we get for planning our visit before school is out for the summer. Our son came by this afternoon, and we tried to plan out the next week or so. We plan to take the boys to the St. Louis Science Museum.

Jim and I both took our walks today. I did 2.2 miles in 43 minutes, a little better than yesterday. There's a tunnel under the base runway which is breezy to walk through.

The back area of the runway.

Jim walks much faster than me, so he went in another direction and I beat him back to the RV. We relaxed the rest of the evening. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I am always of the mindset that a good walk out and around is so far better than a walk on the dreadmill, oops, treadmill.

Wish I could get myself into a walking routine. I've always hated walking even when I was young. So I'm really excited for you and what you are doing.
