Truck Washing Day

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 89 Lo 62 -- There was no breeze today, which made it feel really hot. Luckily the humidity wasn't bad.

I have no idea what happened last night, but while playing cards I must have held my hands too tight. I heard a small snap in my wrist and it hurt all night long. It would wake me up when I moved it wrong or layed on it. When I got up it was swollen. I kept ice on it all morning and by late afternoon it still hurt so I iced it again. The swelling went down and playing cards tonight hurt, but not as bad. Who knows what happened, but looks like it's better.  Getting old isn't for sissies. :)

Jim washed the truck today and got it all cleaned up. It really looks nice. The fifth wheel in the background is vacant for the summer and is waiting to be pulled to the storage area in the park.

I did my walk around the park and saw several more sites empty. I talked to the neighbors across the street. They're full timers who got here about a week ago and will be leaving on the first of April. They've been on the road 12 years and gave us some suggestions places to go and things to see around the country. They love it on the road and have no idea what they'd do if they had to stop traveling. They don't even know where they'd like to permanently live. We feel the same way.

I'm getting behind on blogs and facebook games. There's a thank you dinner given by the park owners this week, and I still need to tighten up the cupboards before we move out on Thursday. Jim's going to pull everything out of the storage bays on Monday and sort and re-arrange things. We said goodbye to another card game couple tonight. We found out that 25% of the park residents stay year round. Not bad out of 400 sites.

Glad your wrist is feeling better. You never know what can happen these days. How's your bone density?

Looking forward to your travels.

I'd hate to have to go to a doctor and say I hurt my wrist playing cards, unless it was picking up a fairly heavy pot! I hope it continues to get better, but be careful there.
