(Avon Park, FL) Hi 87 Lo 65 -- Happy Leap Year and happy birthday to any of you who were born on this date.
We had nothing planned except our afternoon Bible Study class at 1:00. We've enjoyed meeting with this group on Wednesdays. We've been studying the book of Ephesians, and it's been really informative. After the meeting we joined Jon and Kathleen for some shuffleboard. As we sat in the warm breezy sunshine and beauty of the palm trees, with puffy clouds floating in the sky, we were thinking of those days at work sitting at our desks, wishing we were in a place like this. We feel for all of you in the cold north, and wish you were here with us.
When we returned home after shuffleboard we got some bad news. One of our special RV'ing friends, Kevin Sullivan, died this morning. Kevin and his wife Arlene visited us a month ago, and it's hard to believe he's gone.
The RV'ing community has begun to reach out to Arlene to offer help and support. The one advantage of having so many friends all over the U.S. is you're likely to have someone near you when you need assistance. And it's amazing how much social media like Facebook and phone texting plays a part in coordinating this support. It's a great feeling knowing you're not alone and that a friend isn't too far away.
I try to keep the blog very upbeat. But life is life, and it throws some real nasty stuff at us at times. Live like there's no tomorrow.

There are no guarantees that any of us will see tomorrow.
Please convay our condolences to Arlene.

I'm saddened to read of the passing of your friend Kevin. You had the good fortune to see him quite recently. We never know when a visit could be our last.
