Still Playing with the Kindle Fire

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 81 Lo 50 -- I tried all day to call the Doctors office I went to yesterday to make another appointment for followup, but I never got anyone to answer the phone. In the mail today I got yesterday's bill and a card with my next appointment on it. Talk about fast mail service! We didn't even leave till after 1:00 yesterday. Too bad not all mail goes that fast.

We didn't do much today. Jim played with the Kindle Fire and loaded some pictures, which turned out really good. He watched some videos and still doesn't know if it's a keeper. If we didn't have our laptops we'd get it in a heartbeat, but since we have them and the Android phones it's still a toss up. We'd always have to have wifi to use it, so the jury is still out.

I got to chat with mom this morning. It's been awhile since I was able to catch her online. She's doing really well at my sisters. She was going out with my sisster for groceries today. Thanks mom, that was great!

We decided to go play pool this afternoon. As we were walking to the clubhouse, Kathleen met us and asked us to play shuffleboard with her and her husband Jon. We played four games and had a great time. A few minutes after we walked home it started raining. We timed that just right. No hard rain here, but other parts of the state had some storms.

We had a quiet night in tonight watching TV and on chat.

I'm still unsure about the whole "e-reader" phenomenon as well. Haven't come to the point of making a purchase just yet though, I'd like to wait until the dust settles.
We still have lots of room for books, and the movers don't mind moving them.
It's convenient that you're able to simply take it back within a certain time frame if it doesn't seem to be the thing you want.
Good luck with your choice.

Glad to hear your Mom is doing well. I know a lot of people that have the e-readers, but there's just something to me about holding a book and reading. I know someday there probably wont be such a thing, but until then I stubbornly hold onto old school ways.
