We went back to the RV for the rest of the morning, then around 11:30 we left to pick up Kathleen and headed to join about a dozen other park residents for their weekly afternoon of bowling. We haven't bowled in about 30 years and it showed. I have no upper arm strength any more, I'll have to work on that. By the third game I could barely lift the ball. Jim did better, but he was also tired out by the third game. And he also slightly pulled his left hamstring muscle. Are we pathetic or what! We had a really good time though, and the group was wonderful and a million laughs. There's no teams, everyone bowls as individuals. It's all for fun and good exercise.
Most of mine were in the gutter.
Jim had a few strikes.

Part of our group watching the action.

We dropped Kathleen back at her home, and then we went to a little nearby convenience store where they make deli sandwiches. It's right outside our park, and the couple that own it are very friendly. They welcomed us by giving us a coupon for a free 12-inch pizza during our next visit. We got a couple of sandwiches (me a Cuban... I can't get enough of those! and Jim a Philly Cheesesteak) and brought them home. They were delicious! Since I was too sore to do much of anything, I basically rested while Jim did the laundry. By then it was our usual evening of reading, chatting and watching TV. I am going to be so sore tomorrow!

You aren't pathetic--you are participating. Sounds like you had a lot of fun.

I can't imagine what would happen if I tried bowling again. It's been way too long.
It's probably been that long for us too, but what fun! It sounded like you had a great time!
Used to bowl on a couple of leagues, before children, even then if I only bowled during winter would get sore at the start of every season and I was a pup then. Now would probably need a week to recover, so sounds like you did okay. anyone who thinks bowling is a wimp sport never tried it. you use more muscle than you would ever imagine.
Looks like you still have good form.
