We plan to make every Tuesday "movie day." There's seldom very many people at the theater and today was no exception. In fact we were the ONLY ones in the theater, so we had a "private showing" of the movie Ides of March, starring George Clooney. It was a very good movie about what goes on behind the scenes in a presidential campaign. The acting was great. On the way home we stopped at a video store that's only about two miles of our park. You don't see as many video stores as you used to, and it's nice having one so close to us. We can see movies on pay-per-view on our satellite system, but they're about $6 each. We can rent new releases at the video store for $2 for two nights. We brought home the latest Transformers movie to watch tonight.
While I was making dinner this evening our 12-year old grandson Kyle texted Jim, and they had a nice conversation going. Jim isn't a big "texter," but he loves doing it with Kyle. It's such a neat way for them to bond with each other. Kyle is really looking forward to Christmas, and he was excited when Jim told him we mailed his and his brother Kendall's gifts today. He's so precious!
Today's activities in the park: Tennis, Shuffleboard, Aquacise, Light Aerobics, Horseshoes, Golf, Computer Club (we want to get to one of these), Texas Hold 'Em, and Bingo.
