Started a Project... But Will Finish It Later

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 80 Lo 59 -- It was warm enough to open the door and windows as soon as Jim got up at 7:30. Nice weather. We're hearing it's miserable in the Midwest. I'm glad we got here when we did.

Jim did the laundry today, which always takes awhile because we wait so long and it piles up. If we get into a regular routine to do laundry a certain day of the week,  it won't add up to be as much at one time. One pet peeve Jim often complains about: he puts the required number of quarters in the dryer, and when it's finished running, the clothes are still damp. Then he has to put the whole amount of quarters in the machine AGAIN to let it run some more. He likes the machines in the commercial laundromats where you get a certain number of minutes per quarter. Then you don't have to waste money.

I worked on sorting through our filing cabinets. I haven't touched them since we've been on the road, I just kept adding stuff to them. There's two of them, one is for our bills and the other one is all RV'ing paperwork and brochures. We still have all our notes and research from before we bought our rig, it's back to  before 2009. I got about a quarter of the way through the first cabinet and just didn't feel like finishing it, so I took a break and checked Facebook. The first entry I read was an RV'ing friend who was working on the same project and was tired of it and wanted to quit. How's that for thinking alike. I thought that was funny. I'll go back to it tomorrow.

I computer-chatted with mom for a while, which was nice. She's been online the last couple days. It's like old times. She's using my sister's computer. She's doing well and we're thankful for that.

Jim and I made a vow to walk at least a mile every day. We usually walk separately because Jim walks a lot faster than me. And we use it for our "me" time; he listens to podcasts on his iPod and I meet and talk to people. Today I started out and met up with another lady doing the same thing, walking her mile. She lives just down from us on the same row and walks daily. She's been here since October and loves the park. She and her husband bought a house on the Florida west coast, so they're back and forth every few days. Everyone is so friendly so far. We're loving it!

Last night we watched the movie "The Bridesmaids." We've heard so many people say how good it was, but I don't have a clue why it was rated so high. I guess I'm just not young enough to relate to that kind of humor. I'm not saying it was bad, just wasn't my type of movie. (Jim liked it better than me, but even he didn't think it lived up to the hype.)

Tomorrow we're going out and about.

We didn't like Bridesmaids very much either. Parts were too slow and some of the humor was so over the top, it was just dumb, not funny. It did have some good moments, but overall was a disappointment. Glad you mom is doing well!
