(Avon Park, FL) Hi 83 Lo 56 -- We both got up at the same time today, that's very unusual. Jim got a couple of phone calls for follow-up appointments, and even a call from his primary care doctor to ask how he was doing. I have no idea how those doctors and nurses keep up with everyone. The VA hospital in Tampa is so busy, and if they find time to check up on their patients after they leave the hospital they are amazing people.
I wanted to be outside today, the temperature was a perfect at 83, and we have a cold front coming in tonight which means it will get down to the mid-40's overnight, and tomorrow it's suppose to be around 69. But it's for only one day, then it will be back to the mid to high 70's.
I decided to wash my car. I noticed the outside mirrors were so bad from dirt and salt it was hard seeing anything last night coming home in the dark. It needs a good wax job on it, but we don't have any. I think the last time I washed the car was in April. It sure looks good now. I sat outside for a few hours, then came in and finished the filing cabinet project I started last weekend. From all the shredding I did we're now about 10 pounds lighter. I'm not sure what I'll tackle next. I have a full list to work on this winter.
I walked for 15 minutes but couldn't continue, my hip was hurting too bad. So I sat outside some more. Jim hooked up our sewer hose and dumped the tanks. When we arrive at a new park we always hold off on hooking up the sewer hose until we need our first dump. After that he went for his walk. When he got back we sat together for awhile and talked about how we're loving this lifestyle. We also discussed getting a sun blocker for our awning, one of those screens that hang down from the top to give more shade. Our neighbors came over and introduced themselves. They have a sun blocker that they got years ago, but they said there's a place about a quarter of mile down the road that makes them. We'll check that out tomorrow.
While we were visiting the wind picked up, the clouds rolled in, and started to rain, so we all went in. I made dinner and now we're watching TV and I'm reading blogs the rest of the evening. I'm so far behind on blogs, I want to find out where everyone is spending winter.
Update about mom: all her stuff has arrived at my sister's, a day earlier than scheduled. She now will feel more at home having her own things.

Hi we are new to your blog and have added you to our list.
My husband uses a product called The Solution a waterless car cleaner you buy by the gallon. We learned about it the first year we traveled To Arizona for the winter. A lot of snowbirds use it.
Hope your hip feels better soon.
Safe and Happy Travels

Take care of yourself! I HATE it when something gets out of whack on your body. Pulled something in my shoulder last week and couldn't even raise my arm for a couple of days. Have no idea what I did, but everything is fine now! Ice and Aleve (naproxin sodium) are staples for anything that hurts. If I remember right, I think Rick and Paulette use The Solution and highly recommend it.
Just read yesterdays blog...glad you noticed the irregular beat and he went to check it out. I know that type of thing can be scary for the spouse, I know what I have seen in Sam when I have had problems.
Take care.
