New Year's Eve
(Avon Park, FL) Hi 82 Lo 53 -- It was one of those perfect days in Florida. We stayed outside a lot today. Jim worked on bug removal on the front of the RV. It's one of those things that he's been wanting to do, but just never seemed to get around to it until now. We had the whole rig detailed in Ft. Lauderdale, but just the trip here got it dirty on the front cap. He also dumped the tanks and changed our water filter. The filter needed changing more than we thought, the water tasted great afterwards!
We sat outside with our neighbors for awhile. She plays Words With Friends on her Ipad. We were comparing words and how some of the letters come up all alike and you can't do much with them. She's got friends and family that play and there's always one that is extremely good at it. I'm finding the same thing, I have a couple of friends that no matter what I do I can't beat them. But for me all the fun's in playing.
I shredded a lot of old papers today. I try to do that during the year, but what I don't get done I do on New Years weekend. It's time to get everything set for the new year. I love starting a new year with a new budget. I also wanted to start out the year with a haircut so I went to Walmart to get that done. Since it's a buzz cut it was only $10. It can't get any faster or better (or cooler). There's a dance at the clubhouse tonight to bring in the new year, but we're staying home with wine and cheese and having a quiet night in this year.
Jim got out the grill this evening and cooked up some pork steaks. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day. We wish everyone a very Happy New Year 2012!
