Movie Day

(Avon Park, FL)  Hi 78 Lo 66 -- Cloudy with occasional rain most of the day. I worked on backing up our photos and watched TV, and did a little chatting online. Jim did his walk today in between rain showers. It was real windy at times, so we tried bringing in our awning with the sunblocker attached. It worked great and is very convenient.

Tuesday is our movie day, so we went to see Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. We both really liked it. Jim says he enjoyed the movie more than the book. The theater was pretty crowded today, with most of the people there to see the new movie War Horse. There are a lot of good movies coming out during the next few months, so we'll have plenty to see while we're here. We discovered something funny today. We plan our day around departing at the right time so we get to the movie theater by show time. And then we sit through a half hour of commercials and previews before the movie starts. Oh well, thanks to our smartphones we can play games until the movie starts. :)

We heard from several people that a local sports bar, Blue Lagoon, has great wings. We went to check the place out after the movie. They didn't steer us wrong, they were great, and so was the chocolate-on-chocolate cake we had for dessert.

A cold front is moving through and it was getting chilly, so when we got home we turned off the air conditioner. The rest of the night was spent watching TV shows and chatting.
