Learning New Tricks on Google Maps

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 81 Lo 65 -- Fog and cloudy most of the morning, but again it warmed up in the afternoon and it ended up being another sunny warm day. I didn't get up till 10:00. Jim had went over to the clubhouse for the weekly resident meeting at 8:30 and came back before I saw daylight.

I started backing up pictures last night and continued getting them labeled today, then burned them to DVD's.  I got side tracked after reading Rick and Gail's blog, seeing where they've landed for Christmas. They have a neat Google map that has their blog icon at each of their stops around the country. I emailed Gail to find out how she did it and she emailed back directions. It took me another hour to figure it out, but now I'll have a small icon of our RV showing each stop on our travels next summer. Thank you Gail. I still need to learn a little more to make our map better, but I'll learn it a little at a time.

Jim did the laundry, and we both did our walks. There weren't very many around, the park is still quiet for the holiday.

Tonight I'll back up some more pictures to DVD's. I'll get the job done before the end of the year.

Looking forward to seeing how your map will look. Glad I wasn't too confusing :)

It's always nice to get the job done but don't deprive yourself of sleep. It's going to be a long winter and there will be days you'll be stuck inside looking for something to do.

It's about time.

Pool looks good. We have one here but its been cold lately. Pool is heated but not the air when you get out.
Backing up pictures is something I really need to get done too.

Dee, my wife wanted to know if the Christmas dinner was pot luck? Did you each bring assigned dishes, and then pay for the meat and potatoes at the pavilion kitchen? Of course I couldn't answer. Your resort looks like one we could be interested in for next year, if we decide to go to Fl instead of Az.
