(Beaufort, NC) Hi 65 Lo 32 -- The heat pump came on quite a bit during the night, it was COLD! Jim was brave and got up before the sun so he could take some pictures.
It's almost up, not a cloud in the sky.
It's up and it warmed up nicely today.
Tumbleweed in the morning rays.
Jim did some puttering around the outside of the rig today. He lubricated all the slide seals, and did his monthly check for loose screws. He also did some adjusting on the bed cover on his truck. It's been sagging lately and rainwater pools on top of it. I spent most of the day on the computer. The day goes by fast when you're busy.
We went to Jim's sister Robin's for a family dinner tonight. She made chili, and it was very good but very spicy. It was funny watching everyone's face turn red as they ate it. Spicy foods don't agree with me, so I had to pass. I did eat some of the yummy peach cobbler that Jim's mom made. We had a great time.
When we downsized to go on the road we gave some of our things to Jim's family. It's nice when we see something that used to belong to us in a family member's home. Another great day with family.

I see Jim is developing Gordon's (bad) habit of going to photograph sunrise!
Hi, guys! Been exploring your website more, about the parks and other info. It's really great! Thanks so much for sharing everything. We'd love to try and figure out a visit when we are in Florida Dec.-March if we can figure out when and where. We'll stay in touch! Eldy says anybody who is a long time St. Louis fan is a friend of his!) He's been a diehard fan for years and years.
We very seldom see sunrises ourselves so it is really nice to see other people who are willing to share with us. I would have had to pass on the chili also. But the cobbler would have been enough to make me happy.
Never can understand why people eat such spicy food.
Surely the pain, spluttering and choking stops them from tasting what might be a good meal.
Lovely pictures, Jim. Thanks for getting up so early to share.
Happy Trails, Penny, TX.
