On the Move - Happy Halloween

(Beaufort, NC)  Hi 61 Lo 31 --  COLD morning, but we didn't start getting ready to move till mid-morning.  As we were going through our departure routine Paul and Jill walked over to say goodbye. We're hoping to see them again in Florida in a couple of months.

We left at 11:00, feeling relieved that we have everything in order for mom and she's in good hands. The trip to the NC coast was smooth. It took almost four hours to get to Beaufort. We passed some cotton fields on the way. They look like they're ready for harvesting. We love seeing cotton fields, they look like snow.

We're set up in Jim's sister's front yard. It's called moochdocking. Some other RV'ers came up with that term, and we love it. We have 30-amp and water hookups. We have a beautiful waterfront view of the North River. The water level is higher than usual because of the "moon tide," the effect of a full moon on high tide. We'll get some pictures and post them this week.

Jim's mom came over, and after his sister Sharon got home from work she ordered pizza After dinner we sat around and talked while we waited for some trick or treaters. A few showed up, but not very many. Guess we'll be munching on candy this week. :)

We'll be here for a week visiting with Jim's family. I'm going to relax and get caught up on reading blogs.

Newcomers Meeting - Zoom - Emerald Coast Band

Shalimar, FL  (Hi 64  Lo 40)   This week went so slow. When you're retired the days get all mixed up and some go so slow you skip a day...
