New York, New York

(Endicott, NY) Hi 79 Lo 59 -- We were glad to move on today. We enjoyed visiting the Pennsylvania Amish Country, but we’re tired of living under the dark trees. It rained last night and there’s limbs and bird you know what all over the RV. After a stop at the dump station we pulled out at 10:00 for our 225-mile trip to Endicott, NY, which is just west of Binghamton.

The trip was a little more stressful than usual. The traffic and weather was great, and the scenery was beautiful. But there was a LOT of construction zones all the way north through eastern Pennsylvania. Which means a lot of driving on very narrow lanes with a concrete wall on one or both sides. Jim missed one turn in Reading, but our Garmin GPS got us back on track after making a couple of turns in a city neighborhood. We stopped for lunch at the half way point, which was a great break. We arrived at Pine Valley RV Park and Campground around 3:30, which made it a long day for us.

We have a beautiful full-hookup site right on a small lake.

This is a beautiful area. We're not sure what we'll do the next couple of days, but we'll think of something.

Looks like it dried out some...thank goodness!
There isn't a lot to do in the area without driving quite a few miles. But there is a Walmart :) Also, a nice walking trail and your normal chain restaurants.
Have fun!

Pine Valley RV Park? In upstate New York? I'm thinking you'll be running into the cast of "All My Children"! Enjoy your stay.

You are heading to our neck of the woods!! Are you going to be coming anywhere near the capital district? (the Albany area)

PA is known for its construction! Too cold in the winter, so they do everything in the short months of summer.
I thought of you yesterday as you were traveling through my backyard.

Umm, things certainly have changed in New York, New York since I was last stationed there! Where did all the skyscrapers and bridges go? Did the Statue of Liberty get sold on E-Bay? :c0

I like the lake they replaced them with, much prettier (and cleaner)!
