(Wauchula, FL) Hi 86 Lo 58 -- Nice leasurely morning. It was 75 degrees by 11am so I did my walk early. While I was out I checked the clubhouse to see if a puzzle was up and it was so I sat a few minutes and worked on it.
The last few days we've been discussing what we want to do next winter. We were given the option to keep our site here at this park if we pay a down payment before we leave in April. We've been discussing it and we'll probably come back here next year. The price is right, we're comfortable here, we have relatives and friends a day trip away, and we're within a couple of hours of Tampa, Orlando, and Ft. Myers. We still may break up the winter and stay in a couple of different parks, and we can get our deposit back if we decide to do that. But we're sure we want to spend the winter in Florida. This summer we're traveling to Canada, and next summer we plan to head west to spend some time in Nevada where our good friends George and Linda live. And on the way we hope to see some of our friends who spend their winters in Arizona. So we have our general plans set for the next couple of years, for now anyway.
My sister sent a picture of Zoey, her Great Dane, sunning herself on their deck. That dog is amazing! Sis is a dog trainer and has done a great job training her. She's very well mannered and a delight to be around. Sorry the photo is so small, but here's Zoey.
It warmed well into the 80's today, so we ran the A/C most of the afternoon while we watched the NASCAR Nationwide race from Daytona. It was a good race, and got us pumped for the big one tomorrow, the Daytona 500. Jim and I attended the Daytona 500 a few times back in the 70's when we were first married. They were our first races together, so we have a soft spot in our hearts for the 500. The racing season has started, so our Sundays are set now until November. Go Jeff Gordon!

It's nice to know another Jeff Gordon fan. I don't seem to run in to that many. Hope this is an even better year for him than the last. We'll see what effect the changing of crew chiefs does if anything.
Sorry that Jeff Gordon had a bad day. I am a Dale Jr. fan, but also like Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon. I'm so glad race season has returned.
Guess we are all thinking about where we will be going next summer. I enjoy the research that goes into finding RV parks and attractions along the way.
Looking forward to seeing you next week.
