(Wauchula, FL -- Hi 71 Low 57) - We both got later than usual, but we went to bed later last night. I love the freedom of going to bed and getting up whenever we want. I guess while I'm thinking about it, I like being retired. We had a clear sky and a cool breeze from the North, but overall it was a very nice day. I got an email this morning from new bloggers, Ira and Vicky. If you'd like to check out their blog, you can find it here. Welcome to the blogging world; we hope to see you down the road some day.
The morning went fast. I chatted with my mom and helped her troubleshoot a problem she had getting on the Yahoo chat. I'm so proud of her for working with me and not getting frustrated (as computers can be that way). She did quite well and we chatted for quite some time.
We played shuffleboard for the first time in almost two weeks. It was good getting back on the court, and also getting caught up on what's going on in the park. We had thought about moving the RV to another site to redirect the afternoon sun away from the door side of the RV, but decided against it. The weather will be getting colder and we'll probably appreciate that sunshine during the winter to warm us up.
We haven't received an electric bill since we got here almost two months ago. I went to the office to find out why. Our neighbors said they receive theirs on the 14th of the month. The lady in the office wasn't sure why we didn't get ours, but she looked it up, and it was $113.80 for six weeks. The rate here is 16 cents per KWH. We can't complain too much. Our electricity is provided by Progress Energy, which is the company Jim worked for. We gotta keep the company healthy so our 401k stays healthy. :)
Tomorrow night is the Christmas party, and Saturday afternoon is the Christmas dinner. We talked to the guy who prepares the meal and he said it's going to be a good one. After the holidays the park activities will pick up considerably. We've been told there will be Thursday night bluegrass shows. So it looks like we're in for some grand times here in paradise.
