Veterans Day – Visit From a 'Chatter'

 

(Wauchula, FL) – Today is Veterans Day, in honor of those who have served in our armed forces.  Jim was in the Air Force for 26 years and I'm very proud of his service.  Remember our veterans and the sacrifices they made, and continue to make, to keep our nation free.

We didn’t do much all morning.  Jim had big plans to go to the local library, but he forgot it was a holiday and it was closed when he got there.  So he came home and did the laundry. 

 

Late in the afternoon we had a visitor.  Rob has been in the RV-Dreams  chat room since its beginning in 2007.  He lives in Tallahassee, FL and has been trying to sell his house for the past couple years.  He travels for his company and wants to get an RV so his wife Debra can go along with him.  He was working close by and stopped in to see us today.  Thanks Rob for taking time to meet with us. We love meeting people and putting a face on our chat room friends.  

One nice thing that happened in the park today was an upgrade to the park wi-fi system.  The park's wi-fi has been down for several days and we've been using our Verizon Mi-Fi.  Technicians from a local wireless internet company were in the park all day installing new equipment.  We now have a speedy (free) connection.  Another big plus for this park!

We watched the Hurricane hockey game and some TV shows and called it a night.
