Rainy Day Spent Indoors

(Wauchula, FL) - It rained off and on all of last night and today.  The space shuttle was scheduled to launch this afternoon but was delayed another day.  Maybe we'll get to see it tomorrow.

It was a perfect day to stay in and catch up on computer work, blogs, and recorded TV shows.

I love creating Excel spreadsheets, and today I started a full list of every park in Florida and indicating any club discounts like Good Sam, Passport America, Escapees etc.  There sure are a lot of them... so far 323 listings and I'm not half done.  I also put the address, the price per night and phone number.  We can look at it real quick to see the city we'd like to visit then look up the price to see if it would be worth checking out.  Those that know me know that I get restless fairly quickly, so we plan to go on some 2-3 day getaways this winter.  That won't happen till a bit later, but it's going to be fun to see what's in store during our six months here.

I've added a new blog to my favorites list, Gypsy Turtles.  The blog is by our good friends Rick and Gail in North Carolina, who recently started full timing in their Class A motor home.  Congratulations guys, and good luck in your travels. We'll be following along.

It's suppose to be better weather tomorrow. We may get out a bit and check out the town of Wauchula.

That's a good rental price for that far south in Florida for the winter. Do you rent from an individual owner or the park?

I read several RV living blogs but I always start with Tumbleweed and branch from there. I've been reading your blog before you ever took off on your adventure and I truly love it. My parents did the RV fulltime lifestyle for many years and my wife and I plan(and hope) to do so in a few more years. In the meantime, we dream and read your blog. I love your pictures from your RV so that we can experience what it looks like to be in your shoes. Thanks again for putting out such a wonderful blog. Clark & Sandy Brady Tecumseh, KS
