Organizing Websites --- Local Stock Car Races (O'Fallon, IL)

We have a robin's nest just outside our door.  I can sit in my chair and watch the feeding of three little ones in the nest.  I hope we're still here when they leave the nest.

Another laid back day today.  I decided to take on the project that needed a LOT of attention, organizing my favorite websites from the past five years.  I can't believe I let it go this long, but back in 2005 when we first started looking for RV's I just bookmarked everything to check back later.  Some aren't even opening anymore.

I decided to list a few for those that are following the blog and searching for RV information

This one was the very first fifth wheel forum I came to, it seems to be active, but didn't take off like the moderator thought it would.  It's not too late to still check it out;
fifth wheel living

Should we go full time?
BC RV forum. This is another little one, but still an RV forum.
RV.net  is very popular, we still use this one.
Gifts for RVers,  this can be helpful but mainly a fun website for rv'ers.
Free sites, we're still using this one.
National park system
Everything about rving, this is a great site and we found it early in our search
RV books,  we bought a lot of books in 2005-2006
Roadmap to RVers online,  an oldy but goodie
Mail service idea, we didn't take this one, but sure was a close second.
Big rigs, where to park

If you want more, let me know.  This is just a sampling.

I didn't get them all done, but out of 255 personal rv'ing blogs, I started sorting them by who is part time and who is fulltime. Most bloggers don't update daily, so I can keep up fairly easily.

After dinner we left for Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL to watch the Friday night stock car races.  It was very windy 72 degrees when we left.  When we got home it was 45 and still very windy.  It's COLD, but the races were great.  We went with our son and both grandsons.  The kids played in a playground at the track most of the time while we watched.  It was an enjoyable (but cold) evening.  Fortunately they kept the show moving and were very fast in getting the races started.

The cars were sliding sideways through the turns.  They had to turn hard right to turn left.  Some of the cars would raise their left front wheel and bounce along on three wheels.  Very cool to watch and it's all on dirt.

It was late when we got home so I'll wrap this blog up and go to bed.

Thanks so much for your list of sites, my RV sub folder in Favorites is the largest. We will take as much information as we can get. Sam & Donna.

Hi, you had posted on my blog eons ago, before you were actually on the road. Thought I'd drop in and see if you made it - wow, you did!! Congratulations! Isn't is amazing how many of us full timers there are out here? We meet new ones almost every day. Enjoy the ride!

Ohhh that is something I should do... some sorting and making new folders and checking old links. Perhaps on a Rainy Day?
