TUMBLEWEED ON THE MOVE! - Hotel Hickory

We are finally on the road, for good this time. We got up at 7:30 to 4 inches of snow but it was melting fast. I'm still not up to par, but nothing to keep us here another day. Jim got all the outside work done, and I did the inside. We hooked up and with help from one of the forums on a question on fast hookup, it didn't take long to hitch up. We went for breakfast came back to the park and pulled out.

Jim with all the snow and ready to pull out

Coming around the corner to leave the park. We turned left not right like last time.

Going down the road for 3 1/2 hours.

We did no rest breaks and took it straight through. I'm behind in my own car with the Satellite dish. We are amateur radio operators so we're on the radio which makes it really nice. I would go to the next lane so he would be able to come over easier. For our first trip we are thinking this is really the way to go. We can always sell the car later. He has his music and I have mine.

We arrived at the dealer and they had a bay open for us. They had started on it right away so was told we should have our home back Thursday night. We'll leave on Friday morning.

We're in Hickory at a hotel. At the moment, we are homeless and houseless. We're taking it easy and resting. Life is good.

Good luck on a quick fix. Can't wait til you get to Florida and the warmth.

How does that Irish Blessing go?

“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”

Dee, glad you are feeling better. Oye! You guys have been killing me with waiting for you to start your "new" life chapter. It's like reading a book waiting for the author to get the next chapter written. I don't think I've ever read a more exciting book tho'. Be safe and enjoy.
