40 years ago we said "I DO". It seems like yesterday. We have 26 years of military service behind us, two wonderful boys, two beautiful daughters-in-law, five grandchildren, and we're loving life on the road in an RV. We've never had a major fight... maybe a "discussion," but no fights like you hear people having in a marriage. Thank you darling for 40 great, wonderful, glorious years. I'm hoping to have many more.
Here's something funny: On our wedding day, we wanted to hurry to get to the motel so we could see an Indycar race on TV. Today our anniversary celebration included settling in to watch both a NASCAR race and an Indycar race. Unfortunately, they were both rained out. But it proves that our interests haven't changed much in 40 years. And we now have two races to watch tomorrow.
Today was cloudy, with storms and rain this afternoon. We missed a ship going out again, but saw one in the distance. It's quite windy again, so we didn't go down by the waterfront today.
This picture is looking out toward the road from where we're parked.
This is looking the other direction, the water is to the left.
I took this from the hitch looking toward the exit
This one is going to the main road looking out toward the water.
Just another view of what's around us
Looking between the RVs in front of us out toward the channel. Jim says that vehicle is a personnel carrier.
We played on the computer and read blogs all afternoon before going out for a nice seafood dinner at 6:00. Nothing really super special this year, but hoping to celebrate in November when we take the RVatsea Cruise. When we know more I'll post more info on that for the RV'ers.
