RETIREMENT - FREEDOM

What a special day! I'm used to changing jobs and saying goodbye since we were in the military, but this is the first time I can walk away from a job and NOT have to find another one right away. I'm RETIRED, and tired from working. I can sleep late, go to bed late and be free from the working corporate world. I'm not saying I'll never work again, but hopefully it will be in parks and having fun. Another chapter of life is over.

I got to work at 9:00 instead of 10 like I normally do on a Friday. I did the weeklies and got everything in order for next week. At 12:00 Mrs boss wanted me to go in the break room. They had the room decorated with a cake and pizza. What a surprise. The engineer was leaving today too so we had a great time. The bosses let us both go at 1:30. I stayed half hour later to say bye to a guy that works for us part time. He also has a full time job, so I stuck around a bit.

I will go in from time to time to see how they're doing but NOT to work. It's been a fun and challenging time for the past three years. I'm glad to be free, it's time. We're both excited to start our new lives and Jim will be quitting before long too. No date actually set yet.

Jim set up the pressure pro on the truck today, and he called for the RV insurance. We're moving right along.

Tonight we're picking up and learning a video camera from some friends to take with us next week, so may be late on chat.

New Countdown. Days to pick up our new home 6
