Runaround

It's so hard getting up so early on a Monday, but I do see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's NOT a train. The temps are starting to drop a bit which is good.

Our office meeting was quick, only three of us at work today, one is out sick. After the meeting I told the bosses my quitting date. They are wanting to go too, but with two kids in college and two at home that's not possible. They were very thankful for the date as they knew I'm going but wanted to plan (financial). If the 5er doesn't get in when we expect it that's ok too. Mrs boss wants to know everything I'm getting rid of so she can give it to the two that are in college, if possible. I'll sort it out and see what I have for her.

I picked mom up at 1:00 and we went to Raleigh. The traffic is getting so much worse in Raleigh, then I went the wrong direction and with the heavy traffic I couldn't figure out how to get to where I needed to go. It took me an hour to get there which is usually only 20 minutes. I found the bank and the Farmers Market after a lot of turns downtown Raleigh. The bank wouldn't take that cashiers check without waiting 5 days. I can't do any transfers. Why do the good people have to suffer so much for the bad people. I guess there's so many scams now with checks, cashiers checks and even cash, that it's hard dealing at all with banks.

It took 30 minutes to get all that taken care of then we went to the Farmers Market. It was loaded with tomatoes and the fall crops. I wanted corn and only one person was selling it. I did end up with peaches and apples on the way out. That's another place that mom really likes to go and will have to find a driver to take her when we leave.

I got home just in time to start dinner. It's going to be an evening, sorting and writing down everything we have that's going out the door. I still have some running around to do tomorrow, I just hope I don't take the wrong turns again.
