I slept really well all night long. It was hard waking up. Somewhere between 4 am and 7:30 am the electric went out because I just happened to wake up at 8:30 and the clock was blinking. I made it up on time, got to work and it went downhill from that point. It was one of those days that everything went wrong. I was to blame for part of it and Mrs Boss was at fault too. We're doing a bid and it's for Thursday. If it's not all in to everyone, it can lose state monies for the project. I'm learning our job is all political and everything we do is state approved or not. I think we'll make it, but sure was a bad day and very busy trying to get stuff copied and sent out. I did get the weeklies out and all was done by 4:30 so I left.We went to the apartment office and signed up. We should know Monday and move in the first of September. We'll have 16 days before closing.
The reason the countup calendar is still in place, we have a contract but it's not sold. The neighbor has had trouble with the bank appraisal and may have to backout of hers. It's all in who does it. The buildings around us are older by several years and they're taking the lowest price of buildings around us in price appraisal. They're coming in very low. Jim says we'll sell anyway, we want from under this place, we can always work longer if we need to.
Another fun thing: Jim found the perfect 5th wheel that we're wanting. 2009 Carriage Cameo, F36fws sitting on the lot in Kansas City, MO. Neither of us have vacation time, can't take time off without pay, (company frowns on that for Jim). It's really a great price and we're really wanting it. Now, if we could figure out how to get it here, we'd forget the apartment, the only reason for the apartment is to have the 5th wheel made. What IF a dealer here in NC or VA that sells the Carriage will have it brought down? Would it offset the price to much? Would it be feasible? Stand by. Now this is getting challenging and fun.
Time left to get on the Road 25 weeks 2 days
(Just a reminder, this date is so we can get to Rockport, TX to meet up with RV-Dreams gathering by March 1)

There are transport companies that will move the 5er for you, Dee. Just do a search and check references, and you should come up with a good deal.
So happy for you. Happy Trails, Penny, TX
I was just about to tell you the same thing Penny did!
Go talk to a dealer in your area...I bet they could direct you. Hope it works out...keep us posted.

Dee & Jim, we could go to Kansas City and look at it for you and take more photos for you to look at. We are only about 70 miles from there. Also, there are places that will transport an RV and maybe even the dealer here will do it for a small fee. Let us know if you would like us to go and look...Mac & Netters

I have been thru it and is is a beauty. Cherry wood, and the washer dryer. Many options.
They have it marked way down, and want to sell it bad. Something like 51K.
