Back to Work after a Fabulous Weekend

It was back to work, at O'Dark hundred getting up. It's always a let down when you've had a fabulous weekend then the reality sets in and you have to work. I know the feeling for all those out there in their campers for a couple weeks then have to get back to the 'ole grind. This too will pass, I keep telling myself.

It started out in the 30's this morning. It ended up in the mid 60s with a cool breeze but not high winds like yesterday. Nice blue skies which we'll have for a couple more days.

I got to work at 8:00 and all was well. Mr Boss was upset that he had to redo a lot of the work that was done on Thursday and Friday, but other then that, he was ok. It was a quiet day. I haven't been going to the post office or errands since we've moved but Mrs Boss said today I have to start going again. It's an extra 7 miles but guess I have to do it. I'm suppose to charge the distance to them per week, but I'll probably never see the 40 cents a mile pay. I'm lucky to get the paycheck, so won't push it. I did slip today and say I have a year or less and we'll be on the road, she freaked out. I giggled a bit. I'm glad I slipped, it's time they face reality that I'm not going to be there much longer. I think she knew it, but was actually planning on another 2-3 years. NOT. I got through the five hours and left at 1:00.

I picked up mom for our weekly grocery shopping, then took her over to a brand new assisted care place that's just finished here in town. In fact this week is the final touches in the place and they can start moving people in. It's elaborate, way over what can afford. I'm so surprised that people can actually pay the amount per month, starting at $3,000 a month. It's an 85 room place and it's almost half full before they open in a week or two. I would love to put mom there, it has everything you'd ever need.

I got home and ironed, read a couple blogs and settled in for the night. I'm making another huge list. This is for the trip to the kids. I have to remember what to take to them, my sister and for the wedding plus what we have to have for two weeks on the road. I have a partial list for when we went to Branson last year so it's a start.

Days left to leave for the wedding 57
