A couple days ago I mentioned there was a homicide of a student in the school that my bosses kids go. It's been in the news, four school kids killed a "friend". I found out today from the bosses kids just what happened. One went to school with one of the students and sat beside him everyday. He was always high and the teacher would have him put his head down on the desk and not disturb the rest of the class. That happens everyday, along with a few other classmates in other classes. The murder was over a girl, and the four killed the fifth student that was supposedly a very good friend. The arrested kids "talked" about it for a week. This group that's not a gang, but a "group" had plans to destroy part of the school back in March. They put the kids on probation and was sent home from a court proceeding. The murder was on Nov. 30 and the kids all still went to school without acting any differently than they usually did, still high.
The murder is so cruesome that I will not repeat it, but it's all over the school and some of the parents are picking up on it. Now, speaking of parents, where are the parents that's suppose to be guiding these kids? Are parents so high themselves that they don't care? Why isn't there's any parenting these days? They arrest the kids and the judges let them off. Schools can't do anything, it comes back to the parents then they come back on the teachers telling them to leave their kids alone. I don't get it and I'm scared for what's happening, not here in our town but everywhere. How many kids have killed their parents this year? Kids killing kids is just as bad. I'm thinking of our grandkids, it's not easy going to school will they be ok? I had a long "listen" today with these two kids at work and they were very open telling their parents and myself what's going on in the school systems. I'm thankful to know, but I'm also scared to death. Gangs are on an uprise, and the kids will tell you that. They aren't called gangs, they're calling them "groups" with names to each group.
Where are the parents! You don't just let them grow up by themselves, they need guidance, and it's not when they're in their teens it's when they're born.
That's enough for now.

It's very scary, Dee. My daughter-in-law won't send her son to a Dayton city school because she's afraid for him so she's home schooling him.
I always say that today's kids aren't raised, they're 'thrown up'.
I agree it's the parents that need to be involved with their kids, teachers and schools can't do anything any more.
