We got up at 8:30 for our day trip to Virginia to an RV dealership. After a big breakfast, we picked up mom and we were on our way by 9:15. What a great trip. The temps started out 38 but warmed up quickly to 74 which made it so nice going in and out of the 5th wheels. The RVOutlet USA is huge, but not as big as the one in Western NC. They did have the Heartland that we wanted to check out. We both liked the Big Horn and the Landmark is equivalent to the Presidential. Decisions, decisions. While we were there we looked at a Chevy diesel truck, dually with a duramax. Only 33,000 miles on it and it pulled 5th wheels to the beach area from the dealer, which meant the hitch was already on it. What a deal, Jim is still checking that out. Our final decision will probably be when we see the 5ers being built when we go up to Elkhart in May. We'll order one if we have to so we have more of what we want. Here's pictures of today's fun.
First the Bighorn 3580RL. It has a fireplace and a tiny TV area with a small refrigerator. No computer area, but not sure if that's a problem.
Bighorn has a nice closet to the left of the bed.
Landmark Cape Cod has a nice TV area and the computer area. Jim wants to drop the TV down and put cabinets above it.
And this is one reason we like Heartland. All the controls are in one place.
We didn't see any Cedar Creeks, but they usually have them at this dealer. That's another option. We're down to Heartland/ Bighorn and Landmark, Carriage and Cedar Creek. Since we're so new, if you have experience with any of these models, please contact us.
What a great day. I keep thinking I've decreased our stuff enough, but every time I go see a 5er I realize I still need to get rid of stuff.
We had lunch, dropped mom back home, then watched the Nationwide race and hockey. I read blogs and got into the chatroom. We had a great Halloween party with costumes last night in the chatroom, what fun trying to guess people. Thanks.
Days to sell the condo 3 mths 29 days.
