Dinner and Fun with the Geeks

(Ft. Lauderdale, FL)  Hi 78 Lo 71 -- I was hoping to go to the pool but it was just too cloudy and windy, so instead I did some RV cleaning. A total of 40 minutes to dust, vacuum, and re-arrange some things that weren't in their right places from the last couple moves. At the same time Jim did the laundry. It's so much easier and faster to clean while he's gone. When I finished the cleaning I walked over and joined Jim, who was sitting by the pool while the laundry was running. There were a couple guys playing shuffleboard, which brought back memories from last winter's stay in Florida.

There's a Walgreen's next door to the park, so we walked over and got some milk and bought an apple pie for tonight's dinner. Our next door neighbors, Jim and Chris Guld, invited us to dinner. They're RV full timers who run a business called Geeks on Tour. They teach all about computers and other technology to other RV'ers on the road. Jim grilled dinner and we ate under the stars in the beautiful 70-degree evening. Afterward we retired to their motorhome to spend the evening playing Wii bowling. They also showed us how their "Wii Fit" works. You can really get a good workout on it!

My Jim learning the Wii controller, with Jim Guld offering advice. Their cute poodle "Odie" is sitting on the chair watching.

It was a fun evening. Thanks Jim and Chris for having us over.

So glad you're here! The Wii has been gathering dust lately - you helped us remember how fun it is. And, thanks for posting :-) maybe I'll just link to here!
