Monday we went to see the movie Steve Jobs. It's based on the authorized biography of Steve Jobs, but Jim said they were a little loose with the facts in some parts. The acting was superb. Overall we recommend the movie if you're interested in one of the greatest visionaries of our lifetime.
Monday night was our first cards night. It was great seeing our regular cards group and we had a great time catching up. It was also our first opportunity to see the renovations they made in the clubhouse. The flooring, ceiling, painted walls, and stage are all new. They did a great job.
Behind the curtain on the rear of the stage is the large screen TV and Bingo board.
Tuesday we had cable internet installed here at our site. The cable was run underground to our site, then then through our large slide to our entertainment center. We now have fast, stable, and UNLIMITED internet, and can watch all the Netflix or Amazon movies we want. It's going to be a very nice winter here in the park!
Wednesday we went to Okeechobee to visit my sister. She and her hubby Herm are down for the winter months. They've done a lot of work on their park model home. They took us to one of their favorite eating places, The Original Tiki Bar Restaurant, right on the intracoastal waterway in Ft. Pierce.
We bought a bag of fish food to feed the fish from the dock. Hundreds of fish, mostly catfish, would fight over each grain of food. It was fun to watch. (Click on the photos to enlarge.)
Thursday was laundry day, and I crocheted. We went to play cards again with the group that evening.
Today (Friday) we went to see the new James Bond movie Spectre. Jim has a tradition of seeing every new Bond movie on its opening day. He's seen every one in a theater all the way back to the first one in 1962 (when he was 12 years old). Needless to say, he'a a big Bond fan. He gives this one a big thumbs up! (I enjoyed it too.)
We've been here almost two weeks already, and the time is flying. Thank you for reading and keeping up with us.
See you in a few days.
