When we got up this morning you wouldn't have known we had severe weather a few hours earlier. The skies were clear and we had cooler weather today. We're expecting 40’s overnight tonight.
A little about Govenors' RV Park. The park is part of the Days Inn/Governors' Conference Center. The name comes from the fact that five North Dakota governors were born here in Casselton. We like RV parks that are connected to motels and casinos. We know we don't have to go far for a meal. :) We're right off the exit to I-94, and the park fills up every afternoon.
The sign for the park is visible from the interstate.

The back of the motel faces the RV park

Our site. A nice long pull thru. We have 50-amp electric, water, and sewer.

The laundry room. They really want you to know it's the LAUNDROMAT.
Other sites around us.

There’s a restaurant on site. We had a snack there last evening, and the food was pretty good. We plan to have breakfast there before we leave tomorrow morning.
There’s an indoor pool with a water park. Our copy of the park rules said that if we used the pool or exercise room a "resort fee" may be assessed. Sheesh!

I even got a nice sunset behind the grain silos.

We're leaving in the morning, so this is our last night in North Dakota. Jim picked up a North Dakota fact sheet that has some interesting information about the state:
* The unemployment rate is the lowest in the U.S. at 2.6%. We've seen help wanted signs just about everywhere around here.
* Winters in ND can be as low as minus 60 degrees, and Summers can be as high as 120 degrees.
* North Dakota is the number one producer of wheat and barley in the U.S.
* Since 1960 the ND State University football team has won 11 national championships. That’s more than any other college football team.
We’ll see you in two days.

Sure glad the severe weather bypassed you. It is always scary when camping and the treat of tornados is imminent.
We always stay at that campground when we're in that area. Sure glad the tornado missed you guys. We've just had wind and more wind here in SD.
I saw the golf ball sized hail in Fargo on the news, and was hoping you guys were ok!
Glad it turned out to be just a weather scare. Happy travels in a couple of days.
We too absolutely hate those storms but mostly the ones that creep in during the wee hours...so glad you guys were safe and had a safe haven to go to.
We try to avoid tornado country in the spring or summer.
