Nice Travel Day, Moving South

(Lake Ariel, PA) Hi 77 Lo 40 -- We both woke up about the same time this morning, so we go up and started our departure routine. We always spend some computer time checking emails, then Jim does the outside and I do the inside jobs. We've got it down to a half hour and we were ready to pull out at 10:00.

The day was perfect and the travel was great for the 200 mile trip to the Scranton, PA area. There was an increase in trucks today, but the roads were pretty good till we got off I-81 and onto I-84. The back road that led to the park was strange. It had a very steep crown in the middle, causing the trailer to lean to the right. Jim almost clipped a sign and a couple electric poles. We made it to the Clayton Park Recreation Area by 3:15.

The trees are turning color with a little more yellow and orange. Some of the views today. (Click on the pictures to enlarge).

We really like the park, but the Verizon signal is so bad we had a lot of trouble trying to make calls. The park wi-fi is almost useless, so we're back to tethering to our phones, which makes it difficult to stay on line. We're here till Monday, but we'll make it. The blog may be late, but we'll get it posted some time during the day.

Our site is a real long pull through, with 50-amp service and full hook ups.

We have a very nice view of Lake Henry out our back window.

Tomorrow we'll check out the area so stay tuned.

I am curious to what the overall height is of your fifth wheel. My motorhome is twelve feet and fifth wheels look taller. I bet it was scarry leaning that far ofer tht you almost hit signs and trees and such.
