(Murrells Inlet, SC) Hi 63 lo 39 -- Today was very cool and breezy, but sunny. Everyone gets out and about at different times. Most of the Carolina Clan group is in the same row so we’re pretty much together. When we meet it’s usually in the middle of the road.
This morning several went walking, some went biking, and some stayed in their RV’s. Jim took his truck to fill up with diesel and re-fill one of our propane bottles, so Laurie and I decided to find the nature center and trail. There are a couple of miles of trails, but we weren't up for that so we spent some time at the center looking at the wildlife exhibits.
I'm not sure what this is, some kind of gar fish I think.
There was a baby alligator.
We took a walk on the boardwalk that stretches across the waterway.
It’s hard to see the little bird in the marsh, but there were several looking for food. This is the only one I found that I could take a picture of before he dived under water. It’s really neat to just watch the birds flying over the area.
We met this guy walking down the road with his 16 year old parrot.
We came back to our RV's to get some lunch, and Laurie took a call from work. How's this for being at work?
After we got something to eat, we went to the beach to sit for a bit. I was freezing and Laurie had shorts and short sleeves! She’s from Pennsylvania, and much more cold-blooded than me. I'm ready for some Florida weather. :)
A load of wood was delivered to Gin and Syl's site across the street from us. Some of our group got together to stack it up.
Then they wondered what else they could do for the afternoon.
Later Paul and Marti arrived, and so did Peggy and Gary (not in picture).
Tonight we skipped the 5:00 happy hour, and after dinner we all gathered for a campfire. What a great time! We’re loving being with friends.
