(Murrells Inlet, SC) Hi 63 Lo 43 – It was a day with nothing planned, and not much accomplished. Except for some great fun with good friends. First, as promised here are few pictures of our park.
Here’s our site. Nice, except for those big trees hanging over (and touching!) our roof.
This is looking down our street.
A couple of other street scenes.
As you can see, it’s a nice park, with paved roads and nice grassy areas.
After our morning coffee and computer time, we wandered outside to see who was out and about. Here’s our good friends Mike and Terri coming down the street.
And Rick and Gail, the Gypsy Turtles, stopped by after their morning walk. They walked five miles today!
You don’t have to walk far before a group starts to form.
“What do you want to do?” “I don’t know, what do YOU want to do?”
“How about we walk down to the beach?”
So that’s what we did. There’s a trail that leads about a quarter mile through the woods from the campground to the beach.
We got there at low tide, which makes for a nice wide beach.
We all brought our chairs down and enjoyed the bright sun.
It was nice at first, but the wind started picking up and it turned chilly. After about an hour we all left to return to the campground. After hanging around the rig for awhile it was time for happy hour. Everyone gathered in the grassy area behind our site.
We were all aching from laughing so much! We all broke up around 6:30 for dinner, then the party moved to Gin and Syl’s site for an evening campfire. That’s where Dee is right now. I stayed behind to do the dishes and get the blog done. Another fun day, with more to come!
