(AF Academy, Colorado Springs, CO) Hi 85 Lo 55 -- It was chilly this morning when we got up, but it actually felt good for a change. We planned nothing today, but it went past very quickly.
I did some updating on our blog. I removed from my favorite blog list any blogs that haven't been updated since 2011. I also loaded several pictures from yesterday's activities and provided links to the right under Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings. I read blogs and checked where everyone is located. I used to keep track of everyone's whereabouts but quit doing it. Most everyone moves as much as we do and I can't keep up.
We used the picture-in-picture (PIP) feature on our satellite box to watch the NASCAR race and the Olympics at the same time. We also got a couple of our recorded TV shows watched. We've been getting behind on our recorded shows since the Olympics started. Later this afternoon I got the backpack out ready to load up with water and snacks for tomorrow's train ride to the top of Pikes Peak. We're both looking forward to that.
Jim did some reading, and played around with his smart phone. He downloaded a big update to the Android operating system on his phone, and he spent some time getting used to the changes.
After dinner we took a walk around the campground. A lot of people left, but several came in during the afternoon and evening. It's a busy park.

Have fun at Pikes Peak tomorrow. Don't forget your free donut coupons! :)
i think that cave i mentioned before is "cave of the winds".if you get down to darango, take the train ride up to silverton.(you can go in a real silver mine) when we were there we couldnt because the passes were loaded with snow.
I think I'm going to do the same on my sidebar. There are a lot of people no longer posting.
Dee, I forgot to tell you about a resataurant near Colorado Springs named Flying W Ranch A chuckwagon style supper. Don't know how far you are from Colorado Springs now but it was an entertaining restaurant. Find it if your interested. Catch Ya Later (Shiloh)
