Final Dinner With Our Friends

(F.E. Warren AFB, WY) Hi 88 Lo 60 -- Today we stayed in until around 3pm when we left for Kerry and Marsha's house for our final evening with them. On the way we stopped at the Base Commissary to pick up some supplies for a cookout. When we came out of the commissary there was a Jackrabbit near the road. That's the first time I've seen one. He had very long skinny legs and very long ears.

Kerry prepared grilled chicken and Marsha made some side dishes and we had a wonderful evening of food and conversation.

We had a great time visiting with Kerry and Marsha, and we'll really miss them. Hopefully we'll get to this area again to see them in the future. Tomorrow we'll do our preparations for our move to Denver on Monday.

We're feeling much better today. I guess the drink a lot of water did the trick, neither of us had headaches today.

Thought maybe the rabbit was your dinner companion. Sure glad to hear you're feeling better.

I'm envious of the jackrabbit picture. We've seen quite of few of them in the southwest, but they are always so quick I can never get a picture. Glad you're feeling better. It took us about a week to get used to the altitude when we were at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado a few years ago. In particular, as soon as we did any type of climbing, we were immediately huffing and puffing. And our squeeze soap bottle exploded all over the sink. I had forgotten about the expanding packages when you get higher in elevation.

Like Jim and Sandie we were sure jackrabbit somehow figured into the dinner

Whenever I have travelled in higher elevations I drank lots of water and took ibuprofen. After about the first 2 to 2 1/2 days I felt back to normal. Enjoy the next leg of your travels!
