A Great Day with Friends

(Wauchula, FL) Hi 83 Lo 53 --  It was chilly when we first got up but sure warmed up fast.  We were both very exhausted from yesterday, so we slept well last night.   We got a call from Hank and Selene, our North Carolina friends we had lunch with this past Sunday.  They're still in Florida so they drove down from Clermont for the afternoon.  We spent a couple of hours talking and then we took them on a grand tour of our area.  They wanted to see the nearby Escapees SKP Resort, so we took them there and to a few other RV parks in the area. We went out to dinner at Gloria's Restaurant, a local place in nearby Bowling Green that we've heard about but haven't yet visited.  The place is a real jewel.  Gloria, the owner, is a very friendly lady who makes you feel at home the minute you meet her.  The food was great.  I had frog legs. It's been a very long time since I've had frog legs and they were worth getting.  Our friends are planning on going full time in and RV so I'm sure we'll see them in a park one day.  We may catch them again when we get to North Carolina in May.

We're excited about our hot air balloon ride tomorrow morning.  We're leaving here around 4:15am, and the weather forecast looks good.  I'll post plenty of pictures tomorrow so stay tuned.
