(Wauchula, FL) -- Hi 67 Lo 28 - It was cold but by noon it was well into the 60's, and we're back to no jackets. It's going to get warmer through the week, so anyone wanting to get out of the snow and cold, come on down.
Jim went to the library and I went to a pencil art class. In the photo below the pattern is on the left and the partially-completed work is on the right. (Click on photo to enlarge.)
It's ok, but not something I care enough about to get seriously involved with. It would take quite an investment in pencils and patterns. It was fun giving it a try, though. I'd like to do more with the string art and learn it well enough to make cards or wall hangings and give them away for birthdays and holidays. Looks like I'm going to get a life away from the computer in 2011. I'll still read blogs to keep up with everyone's whereabouts, but maybe do more in the evenings than chat. But I can't completely give that up after six years.
Late afternoon we saw a motor home pull up at the office, and shortly after it backed into the site beside us. So we have new neighbors on our off door side. People are out all over the place today. It's going to be fun before long with so many people arriving in the park.
We've been invited to join another couple this evening to learn some games. It's game night and several groups get together for various card and board games. A couple that's been in the park for several years will teach us some of the games so we'll be more comfortable when we join a group.
Tomorrow we plan to do a little sightseeing west of here, so stay tuned. It's finally warming up here in paradise.

Sounds like you're doing some fun activities. I'm looking forward to staying at a resort where we can join in and try some new things next month in Yuma.
Wish we were down there. Sounds great in spite of the cooler weather.
Glad it's warming up. Looking forward to meeting you. Will be there on Monday.
