It was one of those really rough nights. NO sleep, but that's ok, I don't work.Our sleep schedules are working great, I go to bed really late and Jim goes about 11:30, he gets up early and I get up late. Unless we have something to get up for, we'll stay with the schedule. I like playing games before going to bed or watching late night shows. There's a couple shows that are really good after midnight.
When we got up this morning there was a flier on the door about boiling water. Yesterday we didn't have water in the park which happened right after Jim dumped the tanks and was going to put water in the fresh water tank. We're down below the 1/3 level but didn't want to put much in because of the move on Monday. Well, we didn't get any fresh water yesterday, so we're drinking the bottled water we bought. The flier said they'd let us know when the water was safe, in the meantime we boil for three minutes. We connected to the main city water and boiling it. Another learning experience.
Time seems to be stalled. We're waiting for Monday. It's dreary, cloudy, dropping temperatures and overall icky today. It rained off and on all day, turning to snow later tonight. We're not suppose to get much but if the temps stay low we might. There's a lot of rain/snow coming in from Texas or the Gulf.
We did NOTHING today. Jim mentioned he felt guilty and wondered if this is really what it's like to be retired. He feels like he should be doing something. He naps occasionally and plays games on the computer just like I do. We're busy watching Olympics when they're on. I like doing nothing, the more nothing I do the more I want to do. I hope to get out and move more when it warms up. I need to start walking. I guess Jim is really feeling bad about doing nothing, he made supper. He does well with spaghetti, then I had to do the dishes.
I did a lot of chatting today, along with the facebook games, blogs, emails, and watching TV. Oh the joy of "nothingness".

I think there is generally a big difference in the way men and women view being retired. It seems to be harder on some men, not all. He will either learn to slow down and take it easy, or he will find something to do to keep him busy.
I'm convinced that is the reason so many guys are always checking, cleaning, adjusting, tightening, replacing, and repairing things around the rig - constantly! They just like to keep busy.
I agree with Gypsy! Jim is going through a learning curve....learning to find his niche in retirement. Also, you guys are in a terrible situation with this weather thing and the waiting on the dealer to fix your rig. Its hard to be on hold.

Jim...when the weather gets better you can wax and wash and tinker around with all kinds of things. I like to read up on how to repair things on the RV and how to trouble shoot problems before they happen. Believe me you will have plenty to do once you get to where you can get outside without a foot of snow falling on you. Keep the faith and hang in there my friend...all will be good.
We are looking forward to helping y'all with doing nothing. Still haven't heard anything on the counter offer.
