First: Thank you to all the new readers that are following our dream. I really appreciate all the great support from everyone. This has been a life changing experience and sometimes you wonder "what are we doing?" We'll try to keep you informed on where we are and what we're up to. I'm sure we'll have a few funnies and some strange things happening along the way. Stay tuned.
I was up when Jim left for work at 7:00am. The wind was 20mph steady and gusts up to 50mph, so the rockn and rolln was felt a lot without the back jacks for stabilizing. I was surprised it wasn't worse then it was, so we're still hanging in there. I left at 9:00 and was pushed around on the road getting to Jim's office. Jim had a great turnout for his retirement party with managers from years ago and those that he works with now including the Vice President. His boss is in Florida so they did a conference call with him. He's going to be missed and he's loved by all. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling hearing all the things people had to say. Thank you everyone that was there.
We had cake and goodies and I met a few of the co-workers. We went out to lunch with a couple co-workers then I left to go see mom and do laundry. I got back to the RV the same time Jim did. He left work early today. He does have to go in for a couple hours tomorrow to do a conference call on something that has to be done. He'll be home around noon and we'll watch the 150 Daytona races. It's the first time both of us will be home to see them. It's almost over. We're so close. Jim picked up the propane so we're set for another very cold windy night.
We have NOT heard from the dealer as yet. We'll call next week. We're not planning on moving the rig anywhere till we know the snow is gone out west of us. Only four hours left and Jim will be free from work.
