We got up fairly early to get ready for a full day at the Raleigh RV show. I was playing on facebook and I got a call that the show didn't open till noon. I'm so glad they called, we would have been two hours early.
We met with friends at a nearby fast food place to wait for the opening. This is Friday, but there were a lot of people around. The wind was cold and blowing hard so we didn't spend much time outside looking at RV's.
There's two big buildings at the fairgrounds with RV's and vendors. We stopped at almost all the park booths and signed up for their one or two week giveaways, hoping we win at least one of them. I'll probably get tons of emails, but it may be worth it. We did find Willow Tree which is the park that we'll be going to for the RV-Dreams rally in April. They were kind enough to call in to see who our buddy will be since we have a pull through with someone close. They showed us a video of the place, how to get there, and the clubhouse along with lots of other information. We're going to have a blast at this place. I'm glad Howard & Linda found it.
There were a lot of RV's and even a million dollar Prevost. It was awesome, with four TV's. We didn't go in very Motor Home, but did see a few. The new layouts are with the all in one bathroom, just about like we have so I'm glad to see that, we're right in style. It's easier to do the "paper work" with the enclosed bathroom. The sinks are out of the bedrooms, which was one of the things we didn't like. We also checked a couple Park Models.
Overall, it was a great show and we saw a lot of nice RV's. Thank you Hank & Selene for going with us. We just couldn't go on Saturday, we're trying to get ready to leave on Monday so the next two days will be preparing.
We went to dinner with some friends after picking up mom. We didn't say bye just that we'll see ya later. We'll be in the area quite a bit to be with mom.
Last night our water hose froze, so after it thawed out, we put 2/3 of water in the tank. That should be enough for the next week while the RV is getting repaired and we'll be on the way.
