COLD, Sunny Day

We're still warm in our little home on wheels. I didn't sleep hardly at all, I worry too much. I knew Jim had to go to work and thought all night about him getting up so early leaving in the ice. He left at 7:00 after working awhile getting the ice off the windshield. I finally fell asleep and before I knew it he was coming back in the door. Noone called him to NOT go into work. I'm furious, but nothing I can do, I was just glad to have him back. He took my little RAV4 and not the truck. He'll take my car again tomorrow morning because the ice will still be just as bad. It got to 25 degrees today, nice sunny and bright, but very cold. Our road won't be plowed, but the main highway was a little better.

I read a lot of blogs today, made a roast in the crockpot and finally organized the closet. I can't find warm clothes when I need them, so separated the long sleeves shirts from the heavier sweatshirts so I can layer better. Now I'm satisfied with the closet.

I opened up all the cupboard doors last night so it wouldn't be so cold on the pipes. The refrigerator should be ok till we warm up tomorrow. My carrots were frozen but other then that it didn't seem to have anything more frozen than yesterday after moving everything possible to the lower shelves.

We watched TV, wrapped up in blankets and did nothing all afternoon. There was dripping and ice falling off the sides of the RV later this afternoon. Tonight with the temps going in the teens again, everything melted will be back to sheets of ice.

Jim has 8 working days left. If the weather lets us out of here, we should be going somewhere by end of February or sooner if possible.

We've had freezing temps overnight and we've had lots of rain, but thankfully we haven't had them at the same time. Spring will be here before we know it.
