Vegas Flight 1 and 2 - Day 1

I love flying and I also like jumping from planes, but that's another story for another time.

Our flight from Raleigh was on time. It's great to fly during the week there were hardly anyone in the terminal. No waiting, no patting down, no kids screaming. We were almost two hours early so Jim read and I played a game on the PC. We had a four hour trip to Vegas and it was a
very clear night. It's so neat seeing all the little towns with amber lights, blue and red flickering. I even followed an ambulance on a trip to somewhere but never saw how far he went till we were out of sight of him. We upgraded to business class since our trip was free from getting bumped off a few months ago so decided to take the plunge. As soon as you sit down they'll take an order for a drink, but no food. We couldn't sleep at all. Jim was in the direct light from the galley area of the stewardesses. The view of Las Vegas is really awesome at night. It was 12:30am Nevada time when we finally got to the hotel room. We crashed and slept a couple hours before getting up to start the day. Picture is fuzzy because of movement, but thought I'd put it here anyway to show just a bit of the size from the air. It's breathtaking.

We met with our friends about 9:00. I was starving since we hadn't eaten much since 5:30 yesterday. We had a huge breakfast and went to trade in the rental car they got yesterday, it did't have an air conditioner. It's 70 degrees here and partly cloudy. Our friends are used to really cold temperatures, so 70 to them is quite warm. I'm glad to have my jacket or I'd be freezing. We did a bit of gambling, Jim won more then he played and I lost mine, we're on a budget for the week, so we'll be careful how much we play per day. We have so much planned that we'll have very little time to gamble.

We spent the day with our friends getting caught up on what we're up to and giving us ideas on how to pack the fifth wheel. I'll get pictures tomorrow of our friends and their MH. I didn't get any pictures today except the sign of Las Vegas. I wanted that the last time we were
here but forgot to get it.

The evening was the show LOVE, the Beatles. What a show, of course you wouldn't expect anything but the best in Vegas. It's awesome and well worth it if you're in the area. We're still trying to get use to the time difference. I'll post as soon as I can, but doubt if I get on chat this week. I have to go downstairs to hit the wifi, so be sure to check back for updates.
