Rainy and cold but no snow or ice, that went north of us.
I worked from 9-5 today. Mrs. Boss was busy with the accountant and I was "in Charge" of the office. It was busy most of the day with going back and forth to the copy center. Most everyone worked till 1-2am this morning getting out a project for a client and when they get their work done, that's when my work begins. I got it copied and mailed. It's the end of the month so this week is crucial.
I did learn a few things the past 24 hours.
First: Jim's computer died on Sunday night, just as we were talking about getting the rest of his music backed up and anything else of importance. Well, it didn't come up on Sunday night, so I took it to the computer shop on Monday. Today they called and said they have no idea why it died but they recovered it and have to load the operating system again. When we get it back he'll have to load all the programs again. At least they saved the music and important stuff. While I was there I learned that on a laptop it will last longer if you put it to sleep before moving it, even to another room. Also, take a desktop on the road fulltime, it will last longer because it gets more air to it. Interesting. I'm glad I brought the fact we were heading out.
Second: the person that I've been hoping MIGHT buy the condo didn't get the loan. In fact two banks turned him down. I'm disappointed, but we still have a lot to take to the kids and clear more stuff out. Timing will be everything. It's hard getting anything approved because jobs just aren't secure. We're still waiting for June to put it on the market. We're hoping it doesn't get cold the rest of winter so the pipes don't break again.
Third: Speaking of pipes, the people installing the new pipes that broke last week did it wrong and the water pressure isn't good enough to pass inspection. The guys were back out today to reinstall them. The HOA hasn't decided yet to insulate because there's no extra funding and it doesn't get cold often enough to warrant the increase in HOA fees to cover insulation.
That's it for today. It seems there's usually something to write about so stay tuned.
