Movie - Birthday

Auburndale, FL (Hi 91 Lo 71)

It's been awhile since we've seen a movie so out of three movies playing we chose "Adrift". It's a true story about a couple that took a sail boat from Tahiti to San Diego but got in a hurricane.  We give it a two thumbs up, very good movie.

After the movie we wanted to try Andrea's  restaurant where we normally go for breakfast but it's Greek and we wanted to try the dinners. This is a lot of food and it's excellent.

The biggest thing this week is my 70th birthday. It's another decade. Luckily I'm feeling pretty good for being this old.

A party on Tuesday was really nice. Linda, another gal in the community, had a birthday Sunday so we celebrated together with a bunch of friends.  (Click on the pictures to enlarge).

I'm glad we didn't have candles, the cake would be on fire. Thank you Shirley for hosting the party.

Jim gave me a St. Louis Cardinals visor (our baseball team), PJ's with RV's on it, and a gorgeous blue Bible with my name engraved on the front. I lost my Bible, it got tangled up in the RV slide so he got a replacement. It has all kinds of references in it.

Our boys had flowers delivered. They're beautiful and when the AC comes on you can smell them. There's all kinds of flowers, carnations, roses and some I have no idea. Thank you boys for a great gift.

The best part of my birthday, is the LOBSTER. It's year 15 that I've been getting lobster for my birthday. It's usually Red Lobster, but since we found Boston Lobsterfeast in Kissimmee,  we've been going there.  I can get as many lobsters as I want and crab legs. It's a buffet with many items both regular meals (even prime rib) and potatoes, sushi, soups, salads, desserts. Linda was with us and we both had four lobsters. I had at least 15 crab legs.

I'm set now till next year.

Our little alligator was in the canal this week. He must have been hungry and came from the other end of the lake.

We had rain showers and storms in the area and the clouds were lit up in the sun. It was so pretty, thought I'd share.

Jim went to the baseball game Friday night of the Tiger minor team in Lakeland. He went with a church group and got some great seats.

Dinner at the game.

This is really closeup.

Another beautiful sunset after some storms.

It's been a great week, more coming up next week.
